The Petitioner, who is a lady teacher, was declared surplus. By a communication dated 29.02.2024, the Education Department of Panchayat Samiti, Vasmat, informed the Petitioner that she was being absorbed at the school Dalvinagar-A, at Kanya Kurunda, Vasmat. According to the Petitioner, this is a residential school and is in a difficult area making it very inconvenient for a lady, to be deployed in such a difficult area.

The learned Advocate for Respondent Nos. 3 and 4, Zilla Parishad, submits on instructions that the Petitioner's representation dated 21.05.2024, would be considered on its own merits and by taking into account the policies and the Government Resolutions applicable.

We are aware that the academic curriculum for the year 2024 - 2025 has commenced. Once such academic year has commenced, we would be extremely slow in facilitating a transfer mid term and such transfers are best to be effected in the vacations in May-2025. However, the present Petitioner, being a lady and as she has voiced innumerable difficulties, that the Zilla Parishad is willing to consider her case.

Hence, this Writ Petition is disposed off by recording the above statements.

The Zilla Parishad shall take a decision within 60 days and convey the decision to the Petitioner.
