The Petitioner has tendered the proposal for seeking Validity to his claim of belonging to the Thakur Scheduled Tribe category, on 11.03.2025. This Petition is filed on 14.06.2025, seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus. The Vigilance Cell Inquiry is yet to commence.

The learned AGP has taken instructions and submits that the proposal would be decided as soon as possible since the Vigilance Cell Inquiry will have to be conducted.

In view of the above statement, this Petition is disposed off with an observation that since the Petitioner's father has a Validity Certificate, the law laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Maharashtra Adiwasi Thakur Jamat Swarakshan Samiti Vs. State of Maharashtra [(2023) SCC OnLine SC 326], (more particularly Paragraphs No. 22, 23 and 24) shall be kept in mind while deciding the claim of the Petitioner.
