The petition is filed for a limited relief to give directions to the respondents to decide the representation of the petitioners.

It appears that from the compensation amount, the income tax has been deducted. The grievance of the petitioners is that such deduction is not permissible under the provisions of the new Land Acquisition Act, 2013. Such grievance needs to be addressed by the respondents. In the circumstances, the respondents are directed to take decision on the representation submitted by the petitioners within a period of two
