The petitioner is seeking correction of the school record. It is being alleged that the respondent no.6/School's Head-Master is not entertaining the petitioner's application.

We dispose of the writ petition by directing respondent no.6 to take appropriate step on the petitioner's application (Exhibit-D) dated 10.01.2023 and forward a suitable proposals to the respondent no.4 and

937.WP-7017-2023.doc 5, who shall thereafter take appropriate decisions in accordance with Clause 26.4 of the Secondary School Code and in the light of the observations in the matter of Janabai Himmatrao Thakur Vs. State of Maharashtra, 2013 (6) Mh.L.J. 400.

The Head-Master shall forward that proposal within two weeks. Thereafter the Education Officers (Primary and Secondary) shall take appropriate decision within three weeks from the date they receive the proposals.
