RAVINDRA V. GHUGE & ANIL L. PANSARE, JJ.
DATED :
19.07.2022 PC :- 01.
The petitioners pray for an out of turn finalization of their tribe claim verification proceedings filed on 08.04.2022 and 23.03.2022, respectively. These petitions have been filed on 5th and 6th July, 2022 respectively.
02.
The learned AGP representing the respondents submits, on instructions, that there are approx. 8000 orders passed by the High Court mandating the Committee to decide the validation claim proceedings within particular time frames. He submits that they are the litigants like the petitioners herein, who wake up from deep slumber and prefer their proceedings for validation and expect the Committee to decide their claims
( 2 ) wp7399.22 within 3 to 5 months. The Committee finds it difficult to decide such claims hastily for the fear of committing mistakes. There are several cases, wherein frauds played on the Committee, have been unearthed, after the validity certificates were issued. The number of cases re-opened after noticing a fraud, are 7450.
03.
Considering the above, this petitions are disposed off by directing respondent No.2 to decide the claim of the petitioners as expeditiously as possible and preferably on or before 30th December, 2022. [ANIL L. PANSARE,J.] [RAVINDRA V. GHUGE,J.] snk/2022/JUL22/wp7399.22
