I have heard learned counsel for the applicant for some time. Learned counsel for the applicant, on instructions, seeks leave with withdraw the bail application No. 1204 of 2020. Learned counsel for the applicant, however, submits that the applicant is young person behind bars since 2018 in connection with the present crime and the trial court may be directed to expedite the hearing of the case. 2.

Leave granted. The application is disposed of as withdrawn. The trial court is hereby directed to dispose of the case as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of 10 months after the normal court functioning begins.

In so far as the bail application No.1196 of 2020 is concerned, learned counsel for the applicant submits that inadvertently the office has registered two bail applications in respect of the present applicant and bail application No. 1196 of 2020 is pending before this Court and posted for hearing on 03.11.2020.

Bail application No. 1196 of 2020 is not on board and taken on board.
