26.09.2018 P.C. :­ The applications tendered by the petitioner for providing assistance in taking possession of the property are stated to be pending with the District Magistrate since 2016 onwards and have not been disposed of. The District Magistrate is under obligation to decide the applications within a period of 30 days from the date of the submission which period can be extended not exceeding in aggregate up to 60 days. 2.

Since the applications are pending for a period of about one year or more than six months respectively, we deem it appropriate to direct the District Magistrate to pass necessary orders and dispose of the applications as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of four weeks from today and it is accordingly directed.
