The petitioner has put forth prayer clause C as under:- "C) The respondent No.2 may kindly be directed to issue appointment order to the petitioner on the post of Vidyut Sahayak against the advertisement no.4/2019 with effect from December, 2021."

We have considered the submissions of the learned advocate for the petitioner and the learned AGP. Page No.186 of the select list published by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, Mumbai, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution
*2* 91wp9155o22 Company Limited, pursuant to the advertisement No.4/2019 for the post of Vidyut Sahayyak, is placed before us at Exhibit E to the petition. The petitioner has applied for the said post from the Sports Person quota. Her rank is 3707. She does not have any information as to whether, the process of appointing the selected candidates has reached upto her rank. She also does not know as to whether, any person, comparable with her from the Sports Person quota, who is below her in the select list, has been appointed or not.

In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed off.

Needless to state, if there is no legal impediment and if the select list is still alive and the petitioner's rank has reached while issuing the appointment orders, the respondents shall consider the case of the petitioner strictly on the basis of her rank. Further, needless to state, if there is any legal impediment, the respondents would deal with the case of the petitioner in the light of the applicable rules.
