We have heard Mr. Pandav, the learned advocate for the petitioner and Mr. Nagode, the learned standing counsel for the respondent No. 1.

During the course of hearing, it is pointed out by the learned advocate for the respondent that, the petitioner has participated in IIIrd regular round of counselling and he has been allotted Power Systems Engineering academic programme at NIT Warangal and the said seat has been confirmed on 26.07.2021. The petitioner has also given his willingness for further participating in special rounds. The learned counsel further contends that, if he does not register and pay special round participation fee during 04.08.2021 to 09.08.2021, his allotted seat in regular rounds will be cancelled.

It is further contended by the learned advocate for the respondent No. 1 that, since the petitioner has submitted his willingness for further participating in special round of counselling, he is not required to deposit balance fees for admission at NIT Warangal. It is further contended that, in case a seat is allotted to the petitioner in special rounds, then the earlier seat allotted to the petitioner in regular round will be cancelled.

Considering the subsequent developments after filing of the writ petition and the petitioner having participated in further rounds and also confirming the admission in Power Systems Engineering Academic Programme at NIT, Warangal and also submission that, the petitioner can participate in special rounds, we do not deem it appropriate now to consider the petition on its merits.
