By this petition, the petitioner has raised twofold grievances. Firstly, in spite of the directions issued by the Deputy Director Land Records, land of the petitioner has not been measured till date and secondly; though the petitioner has approached for granting police protection by depositing amount in the office of Superintendent of Police, Jalna, no decision as yet has been taken on the prayer of the petitioner for granting police protection.

Learned AGP for respondent/State, relying upon the affidavit-in-reply, states that, suit filed by the petitioner came to be dismissed by the trial Court, now the petitioner is not in possession of the suit property and petitioner himself is prolonging the measurement of the land.

We grant liberty to the petitioner to once again approach the said authorities forthwith. In case, petitioner approaches the said authorities with an appropriate application, the said authorities shall look into the grievance of the petitioner and take appropriate decision in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of three weeks from the date of filing of the said application. We make it clear that, we have not expressed any opinion on the merits of this matter.

With these directions, the petition stands disposed of. 5.
