The learned AGP, on instructions, submits that the say to the vigilance report was not filed by the person, who had submitted the proposal for verification of the caste claim of the petitioner. The matter is kept on 12-08-2021 for reply to the vigilance report and the Committee would proceed further in accordance with law for deciding the same, expeditiously.

This Court under order dated 03-12-2020 in Writ Petition No.7721 of 2020 directed the Committee to decide the validation proceedings preferably within four months. Almost eight months have lapsed. If within a reasonable time the proceedings are not decided, the Court would be constraint to take cognizance of the contempt. Gajanan
