According to the Petitioners, their application u/s 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, has been tendered to the District Collector. According to him, after the Petitioners received the notice dated 13.10.2017, all the documents mentioned therein have been filed. No such statement is made in the pleadings before us. However, we take the statement of the learned Advocate for the Petitioners at it' s face value.

In view of the above, let the competent authority deal with khs/July 2023/7865

- 2 - the said proceedings as expeditiously as possible and by giving a higher priority considering the passage of time, if not already decided. The issue of delay in relation to grant of interest would also be considered on it'

s own merits.
