This Criminal Public Interest litigation is filed for issuance of appropriate writ for quashing and setting aside the Schedule Annexure-A of Schedule Castes and Schedule Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Rules 1995 to the extent of timeline disbursement of amount of relief and amend the provision for payment after conviction of trial Court or amend the provision of the recovery of the compensation amount when investigation is complete but chargesheet is not filed and accused acquitted. Further prayer was for directing State to disburse the compensation amount as per
{2} CR PIL 5 OF 2024 Schedule Annexure-I after conviction of the trial Court / decision of the trial Court and also for direction to the State to recover the compensation amount when the investigation is complete but chargesheet is not filed or accused is acquitted and also to direct the State to make the payment of compensation through bank transfers to the victims.

Taking into consideration these prayers, we opine that for showing bonafides, the petitioner should deposit amount of Rs.2,00,000/- in this Court. Thereupon, the learned Advocate for the petitioner sought time to take instructions from his client. 4.
Learned Advocate for the petitioner, thereafter, informs this Court that his client has instructed him to withdraw the petition. 5.
In view of the said statement, the petition stands disposed of as withdrawn.
