The learned Advocate for the petitioners submits on instruction that this petition may be considered only to the extent of prayer Clause 'B' and the other prayers may be taken as withdrawn.

Prayer Clause 'B' reads as under:

"B.

By an appropriate Writ or order direct the respondent no.9 to decide the C.R. nos.1553/2004, 1034/2003, 823/2005, 824/2005, 868/2005, 148/2007, 1021/2007, 1118/2007, 1359/2008, 980/2009, 1065/2009, 1173/2010, 1503/2011, 879/2013, 880/2013, 15/2019, 549/2019, 376/2020, 1402/2020, 37/2018, 149/2022, 151/2023 chronologically, together and expeditiously, and for that purpose issue necessary orders."

In view of the above, as it is contended that since C.R. No.151/2023 has been taken up for adjudication, out of turn, we

(2) 25-wp-7370-2023 deem it appropriate to direct respondent no.9 to commence the expeditious adjudication of the C.Rs. in chronological order, i.e. the dates of their lodging, and in queue with the pending C.Rs. of all other litigating parties of various institutions. In short, respondent no.9 would deal with the C.Rs. year wise. The oldest C.R. No.1034/2003 shall be decided within a period of 120 days. Similarly, the other pending C.Rs. of 2004 onward would be taken up for adjudication expeditiously giving high priority to the oldest matters.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed off. 5.

So far as prayer Clauses 'C' and 'D' are concerned, the petitioners would be at liberty to take recourse to a legal remedy as is permissible in law.
