We have heard learned counsel for the petitioner, respondents and AGP.

It appears that proceedings are initiated against the petitioner for disqualification by the District Collector on account of non submission of validation certificate within a period of six months as per Section 10-1A of the Maharashtra Village Panchayat Act, 1958.

As the proceedings are still pending we are not inclined to consider the petition on merits.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the judgment of full Bench of this Court dated 09.12.2016 in Writ Petition No.

10478/2014 has been stayed by the Apex Court in SLP (C) No.2994/2017 vide order dated 13.02.2017.

The petitioner can bring this order of the Apex Court to the notice of the authority which the authority would consider, while considering the proceedings.

The writ petition accordingly stands disposed of. No costs.
