Mr. Shelke, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, petitioner has purchased land bearing plot No. 8 and 9 from Gut No. 7 of village Nakshtrawadi. He had applied for mutating his name in the relevant revenue record, however, the same is not considered. As per Section 154 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code,1966 read with Rules 33 and 11 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Record of Rights and Registers ( Preparation and Maintenance ) Rules, 1971 it is the duty of the Talathi and the Tahasildar to mutate the name upon receiving intimation from the Registrar of the Registration Office. It is for the Sub-Registrar to intimate the Talathi and Tahasildar in respect of the transaction. In spite of that the name of the petitioner is not being mutated.

The learned A. G. P. states that, for redressal of such grievance, committee has been constituted by the Divisional Commissioner vide circular dated 13.02.2015.

In light of the above, petitioner may approach the committee constituted by the Commissioner vide circular dated 13.02.2015. In case, the grievance is received by the committee from the petitioner, committee shall take steps pursuant to the grievance received from the petitioner expeditiously and preferably within four (4) months from the date of receipt of the grievance.
