Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned AGP for the Respondents-State.

An affidavit in reply has been presented on behalf of respondent Nos. 1 to 3, wherein it has been stated that the amount of compensation would be determined in accordance with provisions of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. The counsel appearing for the petitioners points out that although the possession of the property is taken illegally in 2004, the award has not yet been declared. Respondent Nos. 1 to 3 are directed to declare the award as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four months from today.

On determination of the amount of compensation, respondent No.4 shall pay the amount so determined by the Land Acquisition Authority/Collector to the petitioners as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of such determination.

In view of the directions as above, writ petition is disposed of.
