We had heard Mr. Deshmukh, learned advocate for the petitioner and Mr. Talhar, the learned Assistant Solicitor General for respondent Nos. 1 and 2 on the last date. The matter was kept today to enable Mr. Talhar, the learned A.S.G. to take instructions.

Mr. Talhar, the learned A. S. G. for respondent No. 1 and 2 submits that, the petitioner No. 1 is allotted seat through JOSAA Counselling in NIT Calicut and the petitioner No. 1 has accepted the seat. The petitioner No. 2 is also allotted seat at NIT, Nagpur. Mr. Deshmukh, the learned counsel submits that, the petitioner No. 2 has also accepted the seat.

On the last date, we had specifically asked Mr. Talhar, the learned A. S. G. for respondent Nos. 1 and 2, as to whether the respondents would be insisting validity certificates from the petitioners upon being admitted for NIT course. The matter was adjourned to enable Mr. Talhar, the learned A. S. G. to seek instructions.

Today, Mr. Talhar, the learned A. S. G. on instructions submits that, the petitioners are admitted and the petitioners would not be required to submit the validity certificates of S. T. category that is the category from which they are admitted. Mr. Talhar, the learned A. S. G. has placed on record the communication received by him. Same is taken on record and marked 'X' for identification.

In the light of the statement made by the learned A. S. G., the apprehension of the petitioners stand redressed. 6.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
