The Petitioner has retired from the services of Respondent No.3/Bank as Branch Manager. Even before his retirement, he had requested that his retiral dues be computed and paid over. The Petitioner retired on 28.02.2017. The Bank was connecting the issue of non furnishing of the caste validity certificate to the release of retiral/ terminal dues. Hence, this petition.

After notice on the petition and when we requested the learned Advocate for Respondent Nos.3 and 4 to take instructions, it is stated, on instructions, today that Respondent Nos.3 and 4 will release terminal/ retiral benefits as per the Rules within a period of THREE MONTHS from today. We accept this statement made on instructions, as

*2* 7wp8064o17 an undertaking of Respondent Nos.3 and 4 to this Court. The copy of the communication from the Bank to the Bank's Advocate is taken on record and marked as "X" for identification. In the light of the anxiety of the Petitioner that his terminal/ retiral benefits are withheld for non furnishing the caste validity certificate, but that anxiety has been now taken care of, as all retiral benefits are being released, that no directions to the Scrutiny Committee are necessary. The Bank shall not insist on furnishing the caste validity certificate for releasing the retiral/ terminal benefits. The Writ Petition is, accordingly, disposed of. kps (MANGESH S. PATIL, J.) (S.C.
