The petitioner submits that he has been an Ex-Navy man and was in the Indian Navy since 20.07.1977 until 31.07.1994. In 2021, he has demanded land to be allotted to him on the ground that he is an Ex-Servicemen.

By the impugned order dated 10.10.2022, the Tahsildar, Kalamnuri has referred to the provisions applicable and the Government Resolutions which provide for grant of land. The Government Resolution dated 08.07.1998 pertains to grant of land to those soldiers who have been awarded Shaurya Medal or have been injured or rendered paraplegic on account of participating in the 1962 or 1965 war. Another Government Resolution dated 17.11.1998 provides for allotment of land to the legal heirs of the deceased Policeman or Army man. Another Circular dated 25.01.2000 provides for such benefits if the person

(2) 70-wp-8009-2023 has participated in the 1999 Kargil war and has become a martyr. The petitioner does not fall in any of these categories. We, therefore, find that the Tahsildar, Kalamnuri has passed an order, which cannot be faulted.

This petition being devoid of merit is, therefore, dismissed.
