These petitioners are before this court as compensation amounts have not been paid though the award has been passed on 14/03/2016.

We have considered the submissions of the learned advocates for the respective sides. We have also perused the affdavit in reply dated 25/10/2021 fled by the Naib Tahsildar, Offce of the District Collector, Jalna, wherein it has been specifcally stated in paragraph 4 that there are several reminders issued to the Government and despite persuasion, the amounts have still not been deposited. The

977 wp 8474-21.odt persuasion continues and respondent Nos. 1 to 4 are awaiting funds from the Government.

We are informed that the Zilla Parishad has deposited an amount of Rs.11,27,000/- with respondent No.3. The outstanding dues towards respondent No.1 are Rs.28,64,559/-. 4.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.1 to deposit the amount of Rs.28,64,559/- with respondent No.3, on or before 30/08/2022.

We expect the District Collector to pass the award strictly in accordance with prescription under Section 19 and Section 25 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.
