It is submitted by the learned counsel for petitioners that, the application U/Sec. 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act has been filed well within time on 30th October, 2014, however, the same is not decided as yet.

Mr. Shelke, the learned counsel for the acquiring body submits that, the said application is not filed within prescribed period of limitation.

The learned A. G. P. submits that, the proposal is received

The Special Land Acquisition Officer is required to take decision one way or other, when the application U/Sec. 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act is filed.

In the light of the above, the Special Land Acquisition Officer shall decide the application U/Sec. 28-A of the L. A. Act in accordance with law, expeditiously and preferably within a period of nine (09) months from today. All contentions of respective parties are kept open. The same shall be decided after hearing all parties and considering their contentions. The writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
