The learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that the respondent Management has submitted the proposal for grant of approval to the appointment of the petitioner No.1 by letter dated 5th January, 2014. He further submits that the appointment of petitioner No.1 has been made after following the due procedure as contemplated under the Maharashtra Employees of Private Schools (Conditions of Service) Regulation Act, 1977
6773.16WP and the M.E.P.S. Rules, 1981. Therefore, the respondent - Education Officer may be directed to take a decision on the pending proposal of the petitioners.

We have heard the learned Counsel for the petitioners and the learned AGP appearing for the State.
This petition can be conveniently disposed of by directing respondent No.2 - Education Officer (Secondary), Zilla Parishad, Nandurbar to decide the said proposal.

In that view of the matter, we direct respondent No.2 - Education Officer (Secondary), Zilla Parishad, Nandurbar to decide the pending proposal forwarded by the petitioners vide letter dated 5th January, 2014 on its own merits, in case the decision has not been already taken, as expeditiously as possible; however, within four weeks from today and communicate the decision so taken to the petitioners.

The petition is disposed of in the above terms.
