Petitioner's request for correction in the school record has been rejected by the impugned communication by the respondent No.3 1/2

998.WP.6821.24.odt Education Officer (Primary), precisely on the ground that it has not been rooted through proper channel.

Learned advocate for the respondent No.4 - Headmaster submits that the headmaster would forward the proposal to the Education Officer within a week. We accept the statement as an undertaking to the Court and dispose of the writ petition by directing the headmaster to forward the proposal within a week and thereafter the respondent No.3 - Education Officer to decide it on its own merits in the light of Janabai d/o. Himmatrao Thakur Vs. State of Maharashtra and Ors.;2019 (6) Mh.L.J. 769. It shall not be rejected only on the ground that the petitioner had left the school.
