This petition can be disposed of by issuing directions to the respondents/State through Collector or his subordinate officer, to take a decision on the application dated 29.11.2011, tendered by the petitioner under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, in accordance with the provisions of law, as expeditiously as possible, and preferably within a period of six months from today and it is accordingly directed.
2) The petitioner makes a statement that no First Appeal has been presented against the Judgment and Award, which is the basis for tendering the application by the petitioner, under Section 28-A of the Act.
3) With the directions, as above, the writ petition is disposed of.
