Heard Mr. Jahagirdar, learned advocate appearing for petitioners and Mr. Ravindra Gore, learned advocate appearing for respondent no.4.

Petitioners were elected as members of the village Panchayat and they have been disqualified under order passed by respondent no.3. Petitioners have filed appeal before the Hon'ble Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Maharashtra State. Said appeal is pending since last three months. Petitioners contend that, till this date, matter is not taken up for hearing. Even the application seeking stay to the impugned order is also not being heard. Learned advocate Mr. Jahagirdar, on instructions, submits that, other matters, which are filed after appeal of the petitioners are taken up for hearing and decided.

Considering the submissions advanced, writ petition can be disposed off with following directions. Hence, order.
O R D E R
i.
Writ Petition is partly allowed.
ii.
The Hon'ble Minister is requested to hear and decide the pending appeal of the petitioners within a period of (4) four weeks from the date of appearance.
iii.
Parties shall appear before the Hon'ble Minister on 29th July, 2024.
iv.
No separate notice would be given to the Caveators.
v.
After considering oral or written submissions, the Hon'ble Minister shall decide pending appeal within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of appearance.
vi.
However, vacancies at village Panchayat shall not be declared, till then.
