Heard learned counsel for the parties.

The petition has its genesis in the examination that was scheduled on 19-08-2012 and due to date of birth as on record has been causing some problem for appearance at the examination, the Petition had been moved. Six years have lapsed thereafter. Along with his main concern of appearance at the examination then, the prayer for correction of record in respect of date of birth appears to be an incidental prayer in the Petition having regard to the context in which the Petition had been moved.

In the circumstances, learned counsel for petitioner states that with the passage of time, the purpose for which the Petition had been moved, had been rendered infructuous. 4.
