Petitioners are praying for issuance of directions to respondent - Board to award additional marks on account of their participation in extra curricular activities. 2.

Petitioner no. 1 claims that he has passed classical music examination and certificate in that regard was forwarded to the Board. Petitioner no. 2 claims to have secured Grade C in drawing examination held in the year 2014 by the Government of Maharashtra.

It is not a matter of dispute that SSC results were declared on 13.06.2017 and petitioners tendered proposals with the SSC

{2} wp8256.17.odt Board on 17.06.2017 and 15.06.2017 respectively. Proposals were received by the Board much after declaration of result. So far as petitioner no. 1 is concerned, he has not cleared the third examination and has cleared only first examination and as such, even under the policy prescribed by the Board, he is not entitled to claim benefit. So far as petitioner no. 2 is concerned, admittedly, he tendered the proposal on 15.06.2017 i.e. after declaration of result, which was received by the Board on 21.06.2017. 4.

Learned counsel for the Board states on instructions that the Board has not entertained any proposal of the student received after declaration of result.

In this view of the matter, the request made by petitioners in the instant petition need not be considered favourably. Petition is devoid of substance hence stands rejected.
