PER COURT:- 1.

Mr. Dhakne, learned counsel for the petitioner in both petitions submits that the petitioners are working at a distance of about 125 and 68 kilometers away from their spouses. In writ petition no.7878 of 2018, the wife is working at a distance of 125 kilometers away from her husband

(2) and is not transferred since 2016. The other colleagues of the petitioner working for the same duration are transferred. The learned counsel submits that the vacancies exist at the places of choices, given by the petitioner.

In writ petition no.7740 of 2018, the petitioner is working at a distance of 68 kilometers away from the wife since 2013. The places where the petitioner has given preferences are still vacant.

The learned counsel submits that the petitioners have given request letters to the Chief Executive Officer for posting them at the vacant places.

Mr. Pulkundwar, learned counsel appears for Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad and submits that if the request applications are made, the decision would be taken by the Chief Executive Officer, considering the merits of the applications and the availability of the vacancy viz. the other requests and the policy invoked.

In view of that, the Chief Executive Officer shall take decision upon the request applications of the petitioners as per the policy, availability of the vacancies and all other relevant consideration, preferably within (06) six weeks.

Writ Petitions accordingly disposed of.

No costs.
