In absence of any provision permitting the petitioner to contest the election for the post of Sarpanch from reserved category, without validity certificate, the case of the petitioner can not be considered.

The Respondent No.2 Committee shall decide the caste claim of the petitioner belonging to Hindu Mahar (SC) expeditiously, preferably within six (6) months. The petitioner shall cooperate in expeditious disposal of the said proceedings.
