Having considered the submissions of the learned Advocate for the petitioner and the learned AGP on behalf of the respondents, we find that the Desk Officer, Home Department has replied to the District Magistrate vide communication dated 12.08.2021 that the application filed by the petitioner seeking permission to start a Cards' Room, may be considered at the level of the District Magistrate in the light of the amended rules, 2014 under the Rules for Licensing and Controlling Place of Public Amusement (other than Cinema) and Performance for Public Amusement, including Cabaret Performance, Discotheque, khs/August 2022/8124

In view of the above, this petition is disposed off. 3.

We expect respondent No.2 to act in the light of the communication dated 12.08.2021 and take a decision on the pending application of the petitioner dated 30.08.2019, on or before 30.09.2022.
