The petitioner on 15.01.2014 was appointed as Shikshan Sevak on compassionate ground. The proposal was sent for approval. Thereafter it was contended that, the post had lapsed. The petitioner had filed writ petition and thereafter contempt petition. The Education Officer (Secondary) has issued a letter dated 09.02.2017 to the effect that there are surplus teachers and after absorbing them the process would be undertaken of absorbing Kum. Shalutai Pawar on compassionate ground. According to the petitioner, though the letter is issued on
2 wp 7860.18 09.02.2017, no further steps are taken.

The respondent/Education Officer shall expedite the process in respect of absorption of the petitioner as assured by him in the letter dated 09.02.2017 (page No. 47) and shall take decision about it and communicate the same to the petitioner as to when the case of the petitioner would be considered for absorption on compassionate ground. The communication shall be made to the petitioner within a period of three months from today by the Education Officer. The writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
