The petitioner who is already armed with a tribe certificate in the prescribed form issued under Rule 4 (6) and 5 (2) (a) (b) of the Maharashtra Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribes, De-notified Tribes, (Vimukta Jaties) Nomadic Tribes, other backwards classes and special backward category (regulations of issuance and verification of) Caste Certificate Act, 2000, is merely requesting the respondent - Sub Divisional Officer/Competent Authority to have it in the format
prescribed by the Central Government. The application is pending since 12 June 2023.

The Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to issue a tribe certificate to the petitioner in the format prescribed by the Central Government as expeditiously as possible and in any case within a period of two weeks from today.
