The Petitioner is a Contractor, who desires that the High Court should indulge in recovering the bill amount of Rs.1,85,98,836/- from the Nagar Panchayat, Ashti, Dist. Beed. The Nagar Panchayat has informed the Petitioner by a communication dated 07/07/2022 that, after they get the funds under the 15th Financial Commission, part payment will be made to the Petitioner.

It is by now well settled that this Court should not exercise it's writ jurisdiction for causing recovery of unpaid bills

As such, we deem it appropriate to direct Respondent No.1, to look into the issue of outstanding bills of the Petitioner and resolve the said issue within a period of 120 days from today. Needless to state, we have not dealt with the merits of the claim of the Petitioner and this order shall not be construed as the High Court having approved the demand of the Petitioner. (Y. G.
