The Petitioner has appeared in person and has chosen Marathi language to address us. The Committee' s report dated 26.06.2023 indicates that the Petitioner is capable of addressing the Court.

The Petitioner has only prayed that his Appeal No.1/2021, pending before the District Collector, Parbhani, be decided on day to day basis.

The learned AGP has taken instructions and submits that notices have been issued in the pending appeal. The parties have appeared. The District Collector would take six months to decide the proceedings. The Petitioner can appear on 22.08.2023 at 12.00 noon in the office of the District Collector.

The Petitioner-in-person submits that six months time is too large a period, since his appeal was lodged in 2021 and is more than two and half years (2 1⁄2 ) years old.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed off. The Petitioner shall appear before the District Collector on 22.08.2023 at 12.00 noon. The District Collector shall follow the due procedure laid down in law and after granting reasonable opportunity of hearing to all concerned, he shall decide the appeal within a period of 120 days from the date of appearance.
