Heard the learned counsel for the applicant and learned APP for the respondents-State.

The applicant seeks bail in Crime No.280 of 2024, registered with Tuljapur Police Station, District Dharashiv (Osmanabad), for the offences punishable under Sections 7 and 7(a) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. 3.

The applicant has been arrested while accepting the bribe. He was a driver of the vehicle. Immediately after his arrest, he has submitted his explanation. The main accused, who is his senior is absconding. His voice sample has also been taken. The Court is agreeable with the submissions of the learned APP for the respondent/State that the police who have

948-BA.1156-24.odt to guard and protect the society are found involved in such an immoral crimes. However, it is not a ground to refuse the bail. Nothing is to be recovered from the applicant. Hence, the following order :

O R D E R

(i) Bail Application is allowed.

(ii) Applicant MAHESH JALINDAR SANGALE be released on bail on furnishing P.B. and S.B. of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand only) with one solvent surety of like amount, on the following conditions :

(a) He shall not tamper with the prosecution witnesses.

(b) He shall attend the Police Station as and when called on written notice by the Investigating Officer till filing charge sheet. (S. G. MEHARE, J.) ...
