The Petitioner herein seeks compassionate appointment in the Irrigation Department in the Aurangabad Division. The learned Counsel at the threshold admits the delay of 14 days in filing an application.

The learned A.G.P. on behalf of Respondent Nos.1 to 4 submits that the proposal can be considered in accordance with law if, it is so permissible. The learned Counsel submits that in the eventuality Respondent Nos.1 to 4 are willing to consider, the Petitioner would file a fresh application making a detailed representation /

2 wp 1605.2021 application. In any case, this would be an appointment on compassionate ground and needs to be considered sympathetically without going into the technicalities of the issue. Respondent Nos.1 to 4 shall consider the appointment of the present Petitioner on compassionate ground preferably, in accordance with the Government Resolution dated 20.05.2015 and shall decide the representation of the Petitioner within eight (8) weeks from the date of filing of the representation / application.

With these directions, the Petition stands disposed of.
