The stay application filed by the respondent in Regular Civil Appeal No. 3/2017 is allowed by the Appellate Court by order dated 05.04.2017. Said order is impugned in the present petition.

Taking into consideration the fact that the appeal is pending since year 2017 and is ready for final hearing, this petition is disposed of by directing the Appellate Court to decide the appeal within a period of one year from the date of receipt of this order.
