Petitioners are possessed of certificates issued by the SubDivisional Officer, Degloor, certifying that they belong to 'Mannervarlu', Scheduled Tribe. However, in the tribe certificates issued to the petitioners, the name of the tribe has been wrongly recorded as 'Mannerwarlu'. Petitioners are desirous of securing admission to the educational institution and, under the relevant rules, they are required to submit the proof as regards pendency of verification proposal with the Scrutiny Committee. 2.

In the circumstances, we direct respondent no. 2 - Committee to accept the proposals that would be tendered by petitioners by tomorrow alongwith photostat copies of tribe

On receipt of the application together with original certificates issued to petitioners, the Sub-Divisional Officer, Degloor, shall issue corrected tribe certificates forthwith within three days from the date of receipt of the application. Corrected tribe certificates received by petitioners shall be submitted to the Scrutiny Committee within the time stipulated as above.
