Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that after filing of writ petition, the writ petition was never listed before the Court. The petitioner has challenged the Proceeding bearing No. 16/2016 pending on the file of District Collector, Jalgaon under Section 44(e) of Maharashtra Municipal Council, Nagar Panchayats and Industrial Township Act, 1965, wherein subject matter of challenge is the disqualification of petitioner who was elected as councilor of the Municipal Council. The proceedings which have been challenged in the writ petition is of the year 2016. Therefore, cause may not survive as on date. Bhagyawant Punde

Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that he has tried to contact the petitioner, but he is unable to establish contact.

Considering that by passage of time cause of the subject matter may not survive and considering the tenure of petitioner must be already over, the writ petition is disposed of. However, petitioner is at liberty to renew request if anything survives in the petition.
