The petitioners have put forth a simple prayer at prayer clause B, which reads thus:- "B) By issuing writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or directions in the like nature, the Respondent Nos.1 to 3 may kindly be directed to make payment of compensation to the petitioners as per revise Award dated 22.08.2016 along with interest within stipulated period."

We have perused the affidavit in reply filed by the Sub Divisional Officer, Ambajogai, dated 03.02.2020. It is set out in paragraph 4 that the R.D.C. Beed has assured that the land
*2* 931wp8369o19 acquisition compensation amount will be made available as early as possible and within one month. It is further set out in paragraph 5 that the respondent authorities have taken all steps for fulfilling the prayers of the petitioners. Delay in making payment of compensation is not intentional, but due to administrative difficulties. It is stated that only one month time is required to pay the compensation to the petitioners as per the award dated 22.08.2016.

Considering the above, it appears that the grievance of the petitioners is redressed in the light of the statements made in paragraph 5 of the affidavit in reply. Nevertheless, we would issue directions to the respondents in the event of the compensation having not been paid.

In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed off with the direction to the respondents to ensure that the compensation as per the award dated 22.08.2016, is paid on or before 30.07.2022, if not already paid.
