DATE : 29-11-2022 P.C. :- Heard both the sides. The learned advocate for the petitioners submits that in a revision preferred by them with the State Government under Section 257 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966 the learned Minister had granted stay subject to certain condition regarding deposit of 15% of the amount which they could not fulfill in spite of having made an attempt. He submits that the revision is pending with the learned Minister. The petitioners are merely interested in getting the revision decided at the earliest and would forgo the prayer clauses-C & D regarding direction to the Additional Collector to accept the money.

The learned GP submits that if the petitioners are not interested in depositing the money the learned Minister would decide the revision within a stipulated time. We dispose of the writ petition by requesting the learned Minister to decide the revision as early as possible and in any event within 12 weeks from today.
