Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned AGP for both the respondents.

At the out set, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks leave to amend prayer clause (A) to replace the word "Nashik" with the words "Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar". In the interest of justice, the petitioner is granted leave to carry out the said amendment. The amendment shall be carried out forthwith.

Considering the limited relief sought on behalf of the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of by directing Respondent No.2 Committee to finally hear and dispose of the pending tribe claim of the petitioner within six months from today.

It is directed that during pendency of the tribe claim of the petitioner with respondent No.2 Committee, the petitioner shall not be entitled to service benefits, such as promotion, pay fixation, increments, etc.
