This is an application preferred on 27.06.2023 seeking extension of time by four months for the compliance of the directions set out in the order dated 27.09.2022 in Writ Petition No.9808/2022. 2.

The order at issue granted time to the State till 30.11.2022. Thereafter, on account of non-compliance a Contempt Petition No.150/2023 was preferred. In the order dated 03.05.2023 passed by the concerned Court, it is recorded that the Portal is being made available and in order to collate information regarding eligible farmers so as to extend the benefit of the scheme to them, further 3 to 4 months were required.

The learned AGP strenuously submits that earlier it was the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Shetkari Samman Scheme Karj Mukti Yojana for 2017 and subsequently, the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Shetkari Karj Mukti Yojana 2019 was introduced. Presently, the government is working on collating information under the second scheme. He makes a statement on instructions that within 30 days, payment will be done to the Petitioners before the Court. The learned AGP submits that this Civil Application is restricted for seeking extension of time only with regard to the Petitioners. Mr. Kale submits that he would now take forward the contempt proceedings with regard to the rest of the beneficiaries.

Since the learned AGP has made a statement on instructions that money would be disbursed to the Petitioners within 30 days, this Civil Application is disposed off.
