The petitioner is eager to know the decision of the respondent no. 1 - State Government in respect of its request for starting new courses. It appears that the respondent no. 2 - University has already forwarded the proposal under Section 109 of the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016, to the government and the petitioner was informed about it, vide communication dated 15 April 2023 (Exhibit 'E').

We dispose of the Writ Petition by directing the respondent no. 1 to take appropriate decision, if it is not already taken, on its own

merits as expeditiously as possible and in any case within a period of four weeks from today.
