DATE : 11th August, 2017 ORAL ORDER The petitioner's mother was working with respondent No.3. She died in harness on 30th April, 2011. The application of the petitioner for compassionate appointment was forwarded by respondent No.3 to respondent No.2 for granting permission to appoint the petitioner on compassionate basis. Since the said proposal has not been considered and decided, the petitioner has filed this petition.

Having regard to the aforesaid fact that the said proposal for appointment of petitioner on compassionate basis is still pending, we dispose of this petition by directing respondent No.2 to take appropriate decision on the said proposal dated 25th April, 2016 (Exh.D) as also the subsequent letter dated 8th December, 2016 issued by the third respondent addressed to the second respondent.

Let the decision on the said proposal for compassionate appointment of the petitioner be taken within three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
Writ Petition is disposed of.
