Heard learned counsel for the petitioners.

Respondent nos. 1 to 3 i.e. the State authorities are represented by the learned AGP. Respondent nos. 4 and 5 are represented by Mrs. Narwade.

By this petition, the petitioners seek a writ of mandamus against respondents, to provide them benefit of category of Special Class Teacher Part - I for intra-district transfer - 2025 as per the Government Resolution dated 18.06.2024. Alternatively, it is prayed that the respondents be directed to decide the application / representation of the petitioners within a stipulated period of time.

We find no merit in the present petition. The Government Resolution dated 18.06.2024 in clause 1.8 and various sub-clauses specifies the categories of the teachers who can be classified as Special Class Teacher Part - I. If any teacher falls within that category, the benefit of the Government Resolution in the context of transfers can be provided.

Petitioners are relying upon clause 1.8.9 of the said Government Resolution, which provides category of wife / widow of ExServiceman or Ex-Para Military personnel. 6.

The petitioners do not satisfy the said category, for the reason that the petitioner no. 1 is the daughter-in-law of Ex-Serviceman and petitioner no. 2 is the son of such an Ex-Serviceman. 7.

Since the petitioners admittedly do not satisfy the aforesaid category in the aforesaid Government Resolution, there is no basis for claiming any relief in this petition. 8.

The petition is dismissed.
