The deceased son of the Petitioner has nominated his wife for receiving pension as well as the gratuity amount. The Zilla Parishad has, therefore, passed an order on 15.12.2021, informing the present Petitioner that any portion of the pension from the gratuity cannot be granted to her. 2.

The learned advocate for the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner may contemplate approaching the appropriate Authority under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 for seeking maintenance from the daughter in law, Respondent No.5.

In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed off. If the Petitioner approaches the concerned Authority under the said Act, all contentions of the parties are kept open.
