The petitioner which intends to commence four new courses is awaiting a decision by the State pursuant to the favourable proposal forwarded by the respondent no. 2 - University on 20 April 2023, under Section 109 of the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016, and communicated to the petitioner in the first week of May 2023 (Exhibit 'E'). The petitioner has further written to the respondent no. 1 - State, soliciting a further decision vide communication dated 12 June 2023 (Exhibit 'F'), respective of the entitlement of the petitioner to start the new courses on its own merits.

We dispose of the Writ Petition by directing the respondent no. 1 to take appropriate decision on the proposal received from the

University in respect of the petitioner's request for starting new courses, if it is not already decided, as expeditiously as possible and in any case within a period of four weeks.
