Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is serving as Clerk and is awaiting promotion but for want of the tribe validity certificate. He submits that the proposal is pending with the scrutiny committee since 2019.

Learned AGP, on instructions, submits that the matter is awaiting report from the vigilance cell.

Considering the correspondence indulged into by the government with the scrutiny committee, it would be appropriate that the scrutiny committee is directed to decide the petitioner's claim expeditiously.

Writ petition is disposed of by directing the scrutiny committe to finally decide the petitioner's proposal as expeditiously as possible and in any case within eight weeks.
